Most recently, Jason worked as the Communications and Public Affairs Specialist at ICON, a 3D printing technology construction company. He was charged with revamping ICON’s website, newsletter program, and social media and YouTube channels, leading the SEO program, tracking metrics for digital and traditional media, and garnering new awards for ICON, including an ICON project being named to TIME’s Best Inventions list. Prior to ICON, he worked at Popular Science, where he was the publication’s first-ever social media manager, restarted the video and podcast programs, wrote articles for digital and print, and both moderated and spoke on panels about digital strategy. He has a passion for STEM communication and finding ways to make the world a better place.
Jason is a native New Yorker now located in Austin, Texas. He earned his B.S. in Radio/TV/Film from Northwestern University with minors in Sound Design and Music Technology. In his free time, he loves to play bar trivia (which he hosted in New York City for many years), travel with his wife, and perform as a singer in local community choirs or at karaoke.
